CamelBak Eddy Tips & FAQs

CamelBak Eddy Compatibility, Cleaning, and Care

CamelBak Eddy bottles are known for their leak-resistant bite valves and carry handles, but replacement parts and cleaning are common questions. The original Eddy and Eddy+ use the same cap and straw assembly, so many parts are interchangeable. Eddy+ adds a carry loop and a slightly wider body. For lids, check the cap compatibility: the Eddy+ cap fits the Eddy bottle, and the Chute Mag cap fits both. To clean, take apart the cap and straw and wash with warm soapy water; avoid the dishwasher for the cap to keep the seal. If your bottle smells, use a CamelBak cleaning tablet or a baking soda solution. For winter, keep the bottle from freezing by using an insulated sleeve or storing it upright.

Will CamelBak Eddy replacement parts fit my Eddy+ bottle?

Yes. The Eddy and Eddy+ share the same cap, straw, and bite valve design, so replacement parts are interchangeable between the two models.

How do I clean a CamelBak Eddy bottle to prevent mold?

Remove the cap and straw, then wash with warm, soapy water. You can also use a CamelBak cleaning tablet or a mixture of baking soda and water. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry with the cap off.

Why does my CamelBak Eddy bottle leak?

Most leaks happen when the bite valve isn't closed properly or the cap isn't tightened. Check that the straw is fully seated and the valve is clean. If it still leaks, the bite valve may need replacing.

Is the CamelBak Eddy cap compatible with the Chute Mag bottle?

The Eddy+ cap will fit the Chute Mag bottle, but the Chute Mag cap also fits the Eddy+. So you can mix and match between those lines.
