Osprey Zealot 45L Climbing Backpack
The Osprey Zealot 45L is a rope-wrangler's dream, built for full-day climbing sessions at walls, boulders, and crags. Its extremely durable bluesign-approved fabrics withstand years of abuse, while the included rope tarp, dual-access main compartment, and stowaway rope carry flap make it perfect for hauling a 70-meter rope and all your gear. Secure grab handles and external attachment loops simplify shuttling from route to route.
Osprey Zealot 45 Rope Management
Packing a 70-meter rope is easy: flake the rope into the included rope tarp, then use the tarp's tie-off loops to keep it secure. The rope tarp doubles as a crag deck for organizing gear or standing on while changing shoes. The stowaway rope carry flap provides a quick way to carry the rope on the outside when needed.
Dual-Access Main Compartment
Top-load access with cinch closure meets a duffel-like front panel opening, giving you a huge opening to pack bulky items like crash pads or extra layers. Inside, zip mesh pockets keep smaller gear organized. External attachment loops let you clip belay gloves, ATCs, GPS, or water bottles to the outside for quick access.
Durable Construction for the Crag
The foam sidewalls are both protective and compressible, and compression straps help stabilize your load. The pack features multiple zip pockets: internal side panel zip pocket, another side panel pocket with key fob, and a front panel pocket for guidebooks and maps. The grab handles make it easy to hoist onto ledges or carry between routes.
How to Pack a 70m Rope in the Osprey Zealot 45
To pack a 70-meter rope, coil or flake it loosely, then place it in the included rope tarp. Secure the tarp's tie-off loops, then place the tarp in the main compartment. The tarp prevents the rope from tangling with other gear and protects the pack from dirt. Use the stowaway rope carry flap for external rope transport if you're carrying other bulky gear inside.
Whether you're bouldering, sport climbing, or trad climbing, the Osprey Zealot 45L is your reliable partner on the approach and at the crag.
